- Duisenberg
Duisenberg school of finance would be happy to get in contact with research fellows to support specific future research projects which fits its priority themes, which emphasize innovative, integrated research at the interface of different finance areas. A grant would be given for a period of two years. Extension to three years is possible for selected projects with promising extensions.
A grantee is asked:
• to spend a day every one to two weeks at the Duisenberg school of finance premises
• be available for research discussions with doctoral students
• give a PhD class on their research
• attend specific Duisenberg school of finance seminars
• and contribute papers to the Duisenberg school of finance working paper series
This programme is consistent with Duisenberg school of finance’s aim of creating a lively research environment in which researchers and doctoral students interact in discussing the latest research issues. In particular, Duisenberg school of finance needs to ensure adequate training and supervision support for a large and growing number of M.Phil. and doctoral students. To grant students and supervisors the best possible awareness of research opportunities, it is useful to ensure a steady presence of active researchers on its premises.
The basic grant amount is set to € 15,000 per year, to be freely used by the grantee. In addition, top applicants may apply for one course buy out at their institution. In this case the grantee would be committed to spend one day a week at Duisenberg school of finance for the duration of the buyout. Note: Only research faculty active in The Netherlands can apply.
We welcome all research applications, particularly those which emphasize innovative themes in finance, which integrate to some extend strategic and asset pricing issues, and which involve international cooperation. Each proposal needs half a page of motivation, a one page proposal, and some information on what would qualify the applicant for the research project proposed (incl relevant track record and publications). An indication of PhD teaching interests is appreciated.
