Holland financial centre

Duisenberg school of finance is linked to the Holland Financial Centre, a joint initiative of organisations throughout the financial sector (i.a., pension funds, banks, insurers, law firms and government) aimed at strengthening the Dutch financial sector.

The Holland Financial Centre was set up, as globalisation and developments at financial institutions have led to a period of exciting and dramatic change in the financial sector that was unimaginable only a few years ago, with financial centres around the globe attempting to gain an increased share of the world's economy. Although the Netherlands has traditionally enjoyed a great deal of success in this field, there is a growing awareness that maintaining a high quality, competitive financial sector that can also grow requires new tools, methods and solutions.

The main purpose of the Holland Financial Centre is to develop initiatives to help ensure the Dutch financial sector remains strong, open and able to compete internationally. In order to achieve this, the Holland Financial Centre will collect and publish data, hold consultations with organisations that have a part to play in the sector's development, and do other work that could help it achieve its purpose.
